College/Career Ministries

For those ages 18-24

The college/career ministry of Central Baptist Church exists to glorify Christ by making disciples who are growing in relationship with God in worship, with others in fellowship, and with the world in ministry.  We fulfill this purpose by attempting to REACH nonbelieving students and CONNECT them with other Christians who can help them GROW towards an understanding of the Christian faith.  We further fulfill this purpose by challenging growing Christians to DISCOVER their ministry gifts and to HONOR God by using these gifts in their lives.  Central desires to meet students where they are and to help them take the next step towards a closer relationship with Christ.  We want to bring them in, build them up, train them, and send them out, magnifying the Lord in the process.

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord.  For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit."

TNW - (Thursday Night Worship)

Central's College/Career Ministry meets weekly on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm in the Hangar to take an in-depth look at God's Word. Through praise, worship testimonies, and an intense study of the Bible, students are able to deepen their understanding of God's purpose and plan for their personal lives and ministries. This time also serves as a good opportunity for students to better understand the needs of their peers and pray for those they come in contact with on a daily basis.  There is also a free meal served at TNW!  Make sure you check the calendar during the summer to make sure TNW is meeting.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Sunday Morning Bible Study stands as the foundational element of the college ministry at Central Baptist Church.   Classes meet weekly at 9:00 a.m. in the College room right off of the main Fellowship Hall. College Sunday School classes are designed to address the needs of college students in today's world.  By basing this area of ministry on a relational approach, students and adults are better able to equip one another for ministry.  Students are invited to participate in various leadership areas of the Bible Study ministry.  Furthermore, they are encouraged to express their views of scripture openly in a non-threatening environment that seeks to find the true meaning of God's Word and apply it to life's everyday situations.
