AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
(2 Timothy 2:15).
The goal of AWANA is to equip boys and girls with the gospel of Christ
and to train them to serve Him. This ministry is a Bible based club for boys and girls
2 1/2 years old* (by 9/15) through the sixth grade.
- AWANA meets on Wednesday nights
- 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- August through May
For additional information about registering your child, contact Laurie Milholland at 771-1125 or Laurie@cbcnlr.org
Included in the AWANA time is:
- Opening assembly, where children gather to recite pledges to the American, Christian & AWANA flags and to the Bible.
- Book time, where the children recite to club leaders what they have memorized during the week.
- Council time, where the children learn to apply to their lives what they are memorizing.
- A high-energy game time that encourages enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
