FAQ

  Q. What can I expect on my first visit?

  A. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you'll be made to feel at home. Our parking

volunteers will direct you as you enter the campus. As you enter the buildings, our greeters will be
  available
to give directions or answer any questions you may have. If you have children, we will take you

to our children's area and then you will be personally escorted with them to their room. As you enter the
worship center, our ushers will welcome you, hand you our worship guide and direct you to your seat. If

you have questions before or after the service, visit our Ministry Booth. You'll find it filled with people
  eager to
help in any way they can.

Q. Do you have any programs for students?

A. Yes. We have a super Wednesday night program - 606. 606 is for students grades 7 -12 and is an exciting environment where students are challenged to “step out in faith” through a fast-paced program that utilizes awesome technology, drama, a live band, crazy games and a relevant talk about current issues in students' lives. 606 occurs every Wednesday. See www.cbcnlr.org/view/45 for updates on 606. and the many creative series we do throughout the year.  Visitors are always welcome and can be guaranteed a great time. Don’t miss out!

Q. How do I become a member of Central Baptist Church?

A. Central Baptist Church is a body of believers united by our desire to follow Jesus Christ and committed to fulfilling the purposes set forth in our Mission Statement. If you desire to join with us and will be supportive of the beliefs, fellowship, and mission of our church, we warmly invite you to become a member. Here are the two steps to becoming a member:

1. Present yourself for membership during any Worship Service when the invitation is given at the end of the message. Our Pastor will invite those who desire to become members of Central Baptist Church to come to the front of the Worship Center. A minister will greet you and introduce you to a friend, who will accompany you to a quieter place where you will be guided in your decision.

2. Express your desire for membership through one of the following means:

Profession of Faith
If you have never received Jesus as Savior and Lord and/or never publicly confessed Him, you will be given an opportunity to do so. After your decision has been confirmed, an appointment will be made for your baptism at Central Baptist Church.

Transfer of Membership from Another Southern Baptist Church

If you are currently a member of another Southern Baptist Church, we will receive you as a member upon promise of a letter from that church. Central Baptist Church will contact that church to notify them of your decision and request your letter.

Statement of Faith

If you know in your heart that you have previously experienced salvation by receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord, we will be happy to receive you. It will be necessary for you to be baptized at Central Baptist Church if you have never been baptized by immersion after your salvation experience or if you were baptized in a church which holds a different view of salvation, baptism, or eternal security than Central Baptist Church.

After you’ve completed these steps, we will joyfully receive you as a member of Central Baptist Church and you will begin to fully enjoy the benefits and blessings of being a part of our family of friends.

Q. How can I contribute?

A. We appreciate your interest and commitment to support Central Baptist Church in reaching the lost and equipping believers. You may contribute through the Church office, or by regular giving on Sundays. To be a steward is to be actively involved in the giving of one's time, God-given abilities, and resources toward becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

Basic Core Giving Principles
