Reaching the nations for Jesus Christ comes naturally to a church centered around the gospel.  It does not have to be forced, manufactured, or manipulated.  It is organic to the church itself when the church is truly has Jesus at the center.

We believe that reaching the nations begins at home.  Central Baptist has been blessed to have so many ministries engaged here in North Little Rock and around the world.  Besides the ministries that operate out of Central Baptist, our weekly offerings help support Southern Baptist missions here in Arkansas, America and around the world.  These partnerships allow us to be involved with over 10,000 missionaries worldwide!

Just some of the ministries we currently offer include:

  • Operation Christmas Child-is a year-round mission project sponsored by Samaritan's Purse. Shoebox gifts are packed by individuals and families through our Awana ministry. The shoe boxes are collected from September to Novermber and sent to Samaritan's Purse. When Samaritan's Purse receives the boxes, they are distributed internationally to impoverished children in many different countries.
  •

Disaster Relief-volunteers provide ministries such as: Feeding, Showers, Chainsaws, Blue Tarps, and Communications. Volunteers show Christ's love by providing for the needs of those who have been affected by disaster. Meeting those needs often opens the door to sharing the Gospel.

Central Baptist Food Pantry & Clothing Closet- This ministry serves over 2000 individuals per month by helping with groceries.  Besides what our church supports, we have many corporate partnerships and receive help from the Arkansas Food Bank to help supply the great demand.  In addition to food assistance, we also offer help with clothing needs.

This ministry supplies backpacks stocked with food to hundreds of children per month.  Our Backpack program has grown every year in helping families of poverty insure their children have food.

Grill Team- This ministry has its own mobile Bar-B-Q rig in order to serve at various civic events grilling hamburgers and hotdogs.  They give away bibles and share their faith at these events.

Centralreach- This is our monthly outreach ministry that meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall.  Members engage in various types of outreach that include writing cards, making in-home visits, and telephone calls.  This ministry allows us to give a personal contact to those in our church and community.

  • Mission Trips- We are grateful at the opportunities God has given us to partner with other ministries around the world.  Annually, we send out teams of volunteers to do short-term ministry projects in Ecuador, Ghana, and in South Dakota to work with the Lakota people.  These groups do a variety of projects that include evangelism, working with children, and English workshops.  In the future we look forward to trips to Thailand and India!

Your opportunities to help in reaching the nations are not limited to these ministries because God is constantly leading us in new ways to reach the nations!
